Rare Update!

My apologies for the long, silent period.  Life has been quite busy and has not been cooperative with web updates or creative output.  While maintaining a site such as this is certainly a necessity for the delivery of new creations, it also tends to be at some level an ego-enhancing tool.  On occasion, the world delivers reminders that this shouldn't always be about me and I certainly do listen.

Several months ago, I learned of a tragedy in Syracuse, Nebraska in which the Methodist Church burned down.  This is of particular significance to the Alexander family in that my great-great grandfather, Rev. George Sherman Alexander was a preacher there.  He is the father of philosopher and iconographer Hartley Burr Alexander.

Miraculously, a stained glass window dedicated to Rev. Alexander was saved and is intended to be used in the rebuilt church.

Fundraising for the church has been taking place, including an appearance by country artist Ty Herndon.

Best of luck to the community of Syracuse in the effort to rebuild.
